The easiest way to understand its significance is to place yourself in the seat of the receiver and then judge the situation. You will find out that you treat those mails which do not have a proper subject line as junk mails. Naturally, the same would apply to your business clients.

You should think twice before sending any kind of attachments with the mail. It is always advisable to take the permission of your international correspondent whether they are game for it before attaching a file to the message. These are known as business mail etiquettes and as a budding businessman, you have to imbibe all of these and apply them accordingly.

Many people face confusion as to how to address the recipient of the mail. Since it is no ordinary letter and your business is dependent on it, you cannot afford to take any chances with that. If the other party addresses you by your first name, your problem is solved. You can easily do the same. But problem occurs when you have to take the first step or make the first move. What do you do in such a scenario? Opinions are divided on this matter. However, it is always better to play safe in international business. If you address him by his first name, there is a rare possibility of him taking offence. Why give him that chance? Play it safe and you will have no worries.
